Baby Factory 1 (news review)

NINETEEN YOUNG PREGNANT WOMEN AND FOUR CHILDREN were rescued by the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, 19th September 2019 from four different baby factories at Ayanwale, Ikotun area of Lagos during a clandestine raid.
The baby factories were believed to be owned and operated by one madam Oluchi, an indigene of Imo state who was a resident of Lagos state. However, she is still at large, while two suspects, Happiness and Sherifat Ipeya, her subordinates, were apprehended in the raid.

Police sources revealed that the victims were from Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Abia and Imo states, and that they had been deceived with the promise of better livelihood and domestic jobs in Lagos. After relocating them to Lagos, they had been held against their wills, raped and impregnated. Their unborn babies were to be sold to potential buyers who would pay up to N500,000 for a male gender and N300,000 for a female gender, once the babies were born.
Also rescued in the operation were four kids.
