Shocked (a news review)
MAGISTRATE COURT GRANTS BAIL IN THE SUM of N200,000 TO MAN WHO DEFILED OWN DAUGHTER IN THE BATHROOM.
The accused, Abioye Idowu who resided at Cele 2, off Ogba area of Ikorodu in Lagos, had reportedly accosted his 20 years old daughter in the bathroom, where she was having her bath, and had demanded strongly that he wanted to carry out a test on her virginity, accusing her of sleeping with men. He had then forced her to open up her thighs and then inserted his fingers into her vagina.
Shocked, she had to immediately report the matter to her mother who became lit up with fury. The older woman then raised alarm to the neighbours who admonished them to report the matter to the authority. Shortly later on, the molester-father was arrested and then arraigned days later before a magistrate court in Ogba, Lagos state.
The prosecutor, Superintendent of Police Emerhi had pleaded with the court to mete out stiff punishment on the accused to serve as deterrent to other sexual culprits.
The Magistrate, Mrs Sule Amzat ruled for the accused to be remanded in prison until his bail condition was perfected. The case was then adjourned till 3rd of June 2019.
