Carnal Desire (News Review)
Francis Joseph, a 43 years old Ogoja farmer from Cross River state, and a resident of Lugbogi area in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo state, was arrested by the men of the Ondo State Police Command for defiling a 12 years old daughter of his friend.
The child rapist who was married to three wives, and had nine children who were all older than his victim, had lured the twelve year old girl into the bush, where he had had sex with her. After satisfying his carnal desire, he had threatened the girl that she would die mysteriously if she ever reported or whispered a word of the abuse to anyone.
The girl kept this secret as long as she could, until she began to bleed profusely in the middle of the night from her private part. She was then rushed to the hospital by her parents, and later on, revealed to them that she had been sexually penetrated by her father's friend.
Joseph took to his heels once he got wind of the event, but he was later arrested at the motor-park in Ondo town, on board of a bus to Lagos, and was hauled over to the police station to be handed over to men of the Police Force.
